Tarvaris Jackson ( * April 21, 1983 in Montgomery, Alabama) is an American professional American football player at the position of quarterback. He plays for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League ( NFL).
Career
College career
The Minnesota Vikings quarterback observed already during his college years. The Vikings liked above all his achievements in the East - West Shrine Game, an All -Star game in college football, as well as during the NFL Combine.
NFL Career
The Vikings chose from Jackson in the second round of the NFL Draft in 2006 and committed him for four years. Tarvaris Jackson signed in 2010 a new one-year contract with the Vikings. After the lockout, 2011, he reached an agreement in July with the Seattle Seahawks on a new contract and joined the team. He completed his best-ever season and was starting quarterback with nearly 3,100 yards and thrown 14 touchdowns with 13 interceptions.
In summer 2012, Russell Wilson was committed, which was competing for a place as a starter with Jackson. Tavaris Jackson, however, was replaced before the season to the Buffalo Bills, the Seahawks got in return a seventh- round draft pick for the NFL Draft. For the Bills, he completed no single game. The team extended his contract for another year yet, sacked the quarterback in June 2013, however, final. Then he took the Seattle Seahawks back under contract, initially for one year.
