Taťána Kocembová

Taťána Kocembová (after marriage Slaninová; born May 2, 1962 in Ostrava ) is a former Czechoslovak sprinter. It was 1983 vice world champion in the 400 - meter dash and the 4 x 400 - meter relay.

After she became 1981 champion of Czechoslovakia in the 400 -meter run, she took at the European Indoor Championships in Milan in 1982 on her first major championship part. In 51.62 seconds she lay in fourth place 0.05 seconds behind Gaby Bussmann, won the bronze. Outdoors, she won the 1982 state championship in the 100 - meter dash and the 200 -meter run. At the European Championships in 1982 in Athens, she stepped up to the 400 -meter run and won bronze in 50.55 seconds with 2.4 seconds off the world record running Marita Koch and 1.7 seconds behind Jarmila Kratochvílová. In the 4 x 400 meters relay she ran in third position behind Vera Tylová and Milena Matějkovičová; they handed over to Kratochvílová that ensured after 3:22,17 minutes behind the silver relay from the GDR.

1983 Taťána Kocembová was re- country champion in the 200 meters. At the World Championships 1983 in Helsinki, they met again at about 400 meters. Kratochvílova won with a world record time of 47.99 seconds before Kocembová, who ran a personal best in 48.59 seconds. In the relay, she ran on, handed to Matějkovičová, followed by Zuzana Moravčíková and Kratochvílova.
