Tatar State University of Humanities and Education

The Tatar State Scientific Pedagogical University Humanities (Russian Татарский государственный гуманитарно - педагогический университет, Tatar Татар дәүләт гуманитар - педагогика университеты ) is one of the oldest and largest universities in Russia.

Profile

The Pedagogical University was founded on October 24, 1876 in Kazan ( first she was a teacher training college and upon completion you could receive a college). The name was changed a few times. In Soviet times, it was called " Kazan State Pedagogical University".

In 2005, the College of Education was combined with the Tatar Humanitarian and the Tatar -American Regional School and was renamed " Tatar State Scientific Pedagogical University Spirit ".

Today it is one of the largest universities in Russia. At its 16 faculties studying more than 15,000 students. IIn the union of the three universities created four new faculties that are not used for educational purposes, its law school and called here for marketing and design. The university offers 28 fields of study. The language of instruction is Russian, but there are also subjects that are taught in the Tatar language. For the future, the introduction of the English language courses is planned. In the fourth year of study, all students take a three-month internship in the schools of the city and partly also of the Republic. The Pedagogical University of Kazan works together with the DAAD ( a lecturer works here ), so that students can find out about German scholarship programs and may apply for study in Germany.

From the history

The old main building is an architectural monument of the second half of the 19th century. The first Kazan Secondary School was established at the suggestion of the Kazan merchant class and was originally located in a rented building in the present Baumannstraße. The main building was built in 1879 according to the project of the graduates of the Art Academy HG Paschkowskij. In contrast to the graduates of high schools secondary school graduates could only Technical Colleges ibeziehen, and only since the 20th century they were allowed to study at medical, physical and mathematical faculties.
