Tatiana Logounova

Tatjana Yuryevna Logunowa (Russian Татьяна Юрьевна Логунова; born July 3, 1980 in Moscow) is a Russian épée fencer. She won at the Olympic Summer Games 2000 in Sydney and the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens gold with the epee team. Tatjana Logunowa was also two-time world champion with the team.

Career

At the Olympic Summer Games 2000 in Sydney Tatjana Logunowa participated in épée individual and with the epee team. In individual she reached the fourth place, with the team she won the gold medal. In 2001, Logunowa at the World Fencing Championships in Nimes, in 2003 at the World Fencing Championships in Havana part and each won the title with the epee team. At the European Championships in Koblenz they erfocht silver with the epee team, 2003, she was in Bourges both individual European champion as well as with the team. Tatjana Logunowa participated in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens in part and won again with the epee team gold medal. In the individual competition of the games she could only reach the thirteenth rank. At the 2007 World Fencing Championships in St. Petersburg Logunowa reached the second place in the single- nine and with the team. In the World Cup season 2006/2007 she also won the item in Nanjing, in the 2007/2008 season in Tauberbischofsheim and was runner-up in Montreal. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, there was only a single competition in the sword for the ladies. There occupied Tatjana Logunowa after they lost in the Round of 32 against the Swede Emma Samuelsson, only the 17th Place. At the 2012 Olympic Games in London Logunowa occupied with the team to fourth place.
