Tatiana Tarasova

Tatiana Tarasova Anatoljewna (Russian Татьяна Анатольевна Тарасова listen? / I, born February 13, 1947) is a Russian figure skating coach.

Tarasova is the daughter of Soviet ice hockey player, coach Anatoli Vladimirovich Tarasov and. At the age of five years, her father taught her to skate, they started in pair skating with Alexander Tikhomirov and later with Georgi Proskurin. With him it was established in 1965 and seventh at the European Championships 1966 Fourth in the World Cup. Due to an injury at the age of 18, she had to end her active career. A year later she started on the advice of her father with the trainer work.

Tarasova is the most successful figure skating coach in history. By 2003, her students have won more than 41 gold medals at world and European championships. At Olympic Games won their students by the year 2006, nine gold medals in three of the four disciplines (men, pairs and ice dancing ).

She was married to the famous Russian pianist and People's Artist of the USSR Vladimir Krainew (1944-2011), who worked as a professor at the Musikhochschule Hannover.

2008 Tarasova was inducted into the Figure Skating Hall of Fame. As early as 1984 she was awarded the Order of Friendship of Peoples.
