Geography and transport

Tating lies about 5 km northeast of St. Peter -Ording and 15 km west of Tonning on the eiderstedt Peninsula. Federal highway 202 and the railway line Husum - Bad St. Peter- Ording, where the municipality has its own breakpoint, run through the municipality.

St Magnus Church

The St Magnus Church is the oldest church in Tating Eiderstedt and perhaps the oldest building on the peninsula.
