The Tatung University (大同 大学) is a private university in Zhongshan, Taipei, Taiwan. There is a close cooperation with the hardware manufacturer Tatung.

History

The Tatung Institute of Technology was founded in 1956. Initially, only two-year college programs were offered. First president of the school was Dr. TS Lin. In 1963, the study programs were accredited for four years. Since 1976, Master's programs are offered and since 1982 also doctoral programs. In 1999, the Institute in Tatung University was renamed. Died 2006 President Lin and Dr. Juann - Kuo Wu was appointed president.
