Taty Sumirah

Tati Sumirah ( born February 9, 1952 in Jakarta ) is a former Indonesian badminton player.

Career

Tati Sumirah 1980 won bronze in the women's singles badminton at the second World Cup. Even greater achievements came with the Indonesian women's team. She started in the Uber Cup in 1972, 1975 and 1981 and culminated with the team in all three events in the final. In all three cases, the final opponent was Japan. 1972 and 1981, Indonesia was subject to Japanese women, but in 1975 the team from Southeast Asia could win the world title.

Trivia

Different sources use different spellings of their name. So the spellings Taty or Soemirah are as uncommon as Tati and Sumirah.
