Tavë kosi

Tave Elbasani ( other name form: Tave kosi ) is a native of the Albanian cultural area main course. It consists of baked sheep or lamb in a spicy sauce made from sour milk ( albanian kos). The dish is named after the city of Elbasan in Albania, where the food originated.

The original dish has many variations today. Often in the plate, rice is added. Instead of sour milk and yogurt usually used. Also, veal and beef are popular as ingredients.
