Tay Za

Tay Za, or Teza also Tayza written, ( born July 18, 1967 in Rangoon, Burma ) is a Burmese businessman who is closely connected with the general of the former military junta, Than Shwe.

Life

Tay Za is the youngest of six children of a former lieutenant colonel. In 1982 he completed the tests in the 10th grade at the TTC from Rangoon and entered the Academy of Pyin U Lwin forces in the highlands east of Mandalay one. His training there but he had to cancel because he married a young woman, without having a permission of their parents and the Academy. For this transgression, he even landed in the military prison.

Tay Za carries the Burmese honorific Thiri Pyanchi.

Business interests

Tay Zas company Htoo Group is engaged since the early 1990s, mainly in the export of all teak logs and was in accordance with the latest available figures from the year 2007, Burma's largest private exporter. Other business of Tay Za are the construction industry, projects of infrastructure, tourism and mobile phones.

Air Bagan is so far ( 2012) the only private airline in Burma. She is the main sponsor of the football club Yangon United Football Club.

Sanctions

The company Ray Zas subject to international sanctions since 2007 by the European Union, the USA and other countries.
