Tayna Lawrence
Tayna Lawrence ( born September 17, 1975 in Spanish Town ) is a Jamaican athlete who specializes in sprint events.
At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, she won the bronze medal in the 100 -meter run behind the US-American Marion Jones and the Greek Aikaterini Thanou. After Jones was stripped of her medal in 2007, Lawrence was subsequently silver. With Teammates Veronica Campbell, Beverly McDonald and Merlene Ottey won in Sydney in the 4 x 100 - meter relay also an Olympic silver medal.
At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, she won in the 4 x 100 -meter relay gold medal together with teammates Sherone Simpson, Aleen Bailey and Veronica Campbell.
