Taz people

The Tasen ( Russian: тазы ) are an indigenous people of the Russian Far East. In the census of 2002, 276 inhabitants registered as Tasen, of which 256 are in Primorye. The ethnicity of Tasen emerged in the 19th century. The tasische language is a dialect of Chinese with strong lexical influences from the languages ​​of the Nanai and Udehe. In the 1880s, it was spoken by 1050 people, currently it is controlled only by members of the older generation.
