Tchadoua

Region

Tchadoua is a rural municipality in the Department Aguie in Niger.

Geography

Tchadoua is located at the junction of Great Landscape Sudan Sahel. The neighboring municipalities are Sarkin Haoussa in the north, Aguie in the East, Dan - Issa in the south, Djiratawa in the southwest and SAE Saboua in the northwest. The municipality is divided into 51 administrative villages, a traditional village, 41 hamlets and seven stock. The main town of the rural community is the administrative village Tchadoua.

The Forêt de classée Dan Gado is a 4300 acre protected nature woodland area in the municipality of Tchadoua. The protected status was made in 1951.

History

The rural community Tchadoua went out in 2002 as part of a nationwide administrative reform from the western part of the canton Aguie. When the floods in West and Central Africa 2010 1827 Resident of Tchadoua were classified as disaster victims.

Population

At the 2001 census Tchadoua had 65 619 inhabitants. For the year 2010 88.670 inhabitants were calculated.

Economy and infrastructure

The community is located at the junction of the zone of rain -fed agriculture of the north to the zone of the irrigation field economy of the South. By Tchadoua the National Road 1 between Maradi and Aguie and the National Road 19 run direction Mayahi.
