Tea Board of India

The Tea Board of India is an Indian organization that is controlled by the government and the Indian tea trade regulated. It was founded in 1953 by an enactment of the Tea Act in Calcutta. The Chairman is Basudev Banerjee. The organization is divided into the Standing Committees and the Executive Committee is, the Development Committee, the Labour Welfare Committee and the Export Promotion Committee. The Tea Board of India is responsible for the award of certification numbers for the export of certain Teeherstellern. This certification is designed to ensure the origin of tea, which reduces the false identification of rare teas from Darjeeling.
