Teal Fowler

Teal Fowler ( born December 11, 1970 in Batavia, New York ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player and currently sports manager at the Adler Mannheim of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

Career

From 1989 to 1993 he played on the Merrimack College hockey. 1995 he moved to Germany, where Eschweiler was his first stop. Quick spotted him the then second division EHC Dortmund. The 1996/97 season began in Dortmund striker. Shortly thereafter he moved to Königsborner EC, before he went to Iserlohn EC, he played half a season with the EC Lünen 89 After this half still followed by four full seasons in Iserlohn, where he because of its robust and combative style of play (279 penalty minutes in 61 games in the 1997/98 season) became a crowd favorite. After the first DEL Iserlohn season 2000/ 01 he had to end his career due to injury. But the Roosters remained Fowler received as an assistant coach to and including the 2004/05 season.

In the season 2005/ 06 he stood for the first time as a head coach in Krefeld behind the gang.

On 15 January 2006, he announced that he exercise his right of termination at the Krefeld Penguins use and this will leave at the end of the season. He then signed a two -year contract as an assistant coach with the Eagles Mannheim which 07 were German champions in the season 2006 /. Also in the 2008/ 09 season he stands at the Eagles behind the gang. Since 2009, Fowler has also been active in the coaching staff of the German national team. After the eagle had separated in February 2009 from their previous head coach Dave King, Fowler took over sole responsibility of the training of the eagle. Beginning of April 2009 gave the Eagles announced that Teal Fowler would go back in his old job as an assistant coach. New head coach was Doug Mason. After his release in January 2010, Fowler was appointed again to the end of the season for head coach. Thereafter, he was appointed manager of the club sports.
