TecDAX
The Nasdaq is a German stock index and was introduced on 24 March 2003. He is the successor of geratenen by insider trading and accounting fraud in disrepute Nemax50. In addition to the DAX, MDAX and the SDAX the Nasdaq part of the Prime Standard of Deutsche Börse AG.
Composition
In the index are 30 of the 35 largest technology stocks in terms of market capitalization and sales together (so-called 35/35-Regel ). It all technology stocks are quarterly ranked yet. Based on this ranking list is then decided which new values are possibly included in the Nasdaq and fall out which.
Criteria are:
- Admission to the Prime Standard,
- Continuous trading on Xetra
- Order book turnover on Xetra and on the floor of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange,
- Market capitalization and
- Free-float weighting
Calculation
The final index level is calculated at 17.35 clock after the Xetra closing auction. Or from 17:45 clock the German Börse AG calculates the L- Nasdaq ( Nasdaq Late ) with parquet courses.
The German stock market index calculated from the prices on the electronic trading system Xetra. Its calculation begins at 9:00 clock CET and ends with the prices from the Xetra closing auction that starts at 17:30 CET clock. Following the L- Nasdaq is calculated between 17:45 clock to 20:00 clock CET. This late- index is an indicator of the performance of the Nasdaq - values according to the Xetra trading. It is based on the prices of floor trading at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

The table contains the data, as published by Deutsche Börse and are decisive for the weighting in the Nasdaq. In particular, the market capitalization is based only on the detected by Deutsche Börse free float, not the total number of shares. The market capitalization does not correspond here to the market value of all shares of the company, but only the market capitalization of the free float.
