The Technical University of Košice, Slovak University of Technology in Košiciach, is a public technical university in the Slovak city of Kosice.
History
Already in 1657 a Universitas Cassoviensis was founded in Košice. 1937 saw the establishment of a first technical school in Košice, but due to their teaching could not recordings by the pre-war events, but first to Prešov, then to Martin and was eventually moved to Bratislava, where they later formed the core of the Technical University in Bratislava.
In July 1952, the first three faculties of engineering, mining and metallurgy were established at the site Košice by Government Decision No. 30/ 1952. In 2005, the Air Force Academy Milan Rastislav Stefanik the University was incorporated as a faculty for aviation.
