The Technical University of Lisbon ( Portuguese: Universidade Técnica de Lisboa ), short- UTL, is a technical state university based in Lisbon. With approximately 18,800 students and another 2,300 master's students in 7 faculties, it is one of the largest universities in Portugal. She is a member of the CLUSTER consortium and the University network CESAER.

The Technical University of Lisbon was founded in 1930 and operates seven faculties and institutions that have emerged from previous independent higher education institutions in the city. Current President of the University is José Dias Lopes da Silva.

With the Law of 31 December 2012, the Technical University of Lisbon, was merged with the University of Lisbon to the new University of Lisbon ( Universidade de Lisboa ).
