Ted Raimi

Ted Raimi ( born December 14, 1965 in Detroit, Michigan as Theodore Raimi ) is an American actor and screenwriter. He has two older brothers, the director Sam Raimi and screenwriter Ivan Raimi, and a sister, the lawyer Andrea Raimi Rubin. His eldest brother Sander died in a swimming accident in Israel in 1968 at the age of 15 years.

Life and career

Ted Raimi studied at the University of Michigan, New York University and the University of Detroit. He grew up in a Jewish family. His parents were Russian-Jewish and Hungarian-Jewish origin.

His acting debut was in the horror film The Evil Dead 2, in which his older brother Sam Raimi directed.

Then Ted Raimi was seen in other horror films and guest appearances on such series as completed Alf and Baywatch before he became known for a starring role in the Steven Spielberg -produced sci-fi series SeaQuest DSV a wide audience. He also wrote screenplays for several episodes of the series.

Big Ted Raimi also gained popularity through his recurring role as a lovable klutz Joxer in the fantasy series Xena - Warrior Princess, which was produced by his brother.

In recent years, Ted Raimi played frequent small to medium sized roles in well-known Hollywood productions such as Spider -Man, Spider- Man 2, Spider -Man 3 and The Grudge - The Curse. He is also active as a speaker for video game characters.

Ted Raimi also occurs under the stage name Bill Ferguson.
