Ted Ross

Ted Ross ( * June 30 1934 in Zanesville, Ohio; † 3 September 2002 in Dayton, Ohio ) was an American actor.

Ted Ross was an African-American actor, who lived in Dayton, Ohio since the age of seven. His most famous film role was in 1978 the Lion in The Wiz - The Wizard of Oz at the side of Diana Ross and Michael Jackson.. He played this role already in the Broadway performance of the musical in 1975 Other famous films were Ragtime by Milos Forman and Arthur - No child of sadness, in which he acted alongside Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli. His last film appearance he graduated in 1991 in Terry Gilliam's The Fisher King drama.
