Ted Tetzlaff

Ted Tetzlaff ( born June 3, 1903 in Los Angeles, † January 7, 1995 at Fort Baker, California ) was an American film director and cinematographer.

Life

Ted Tetzlaff was 1926-1946 cameraman in Hollywood. His last camera work was Alfred Hitchcock Notorious ( 1946). He then moved into directing. His greatest success as a director was The eerie window with Bobby Driscoll, Arthur Kennedy and Barbara Hale. A boy watching a murder, but no one believes him. This puts him in mortal danger. The film cost only about $ 200,000 and played a multiple thereof.

For his work on prosecution witness, he was nominated in 1943 for an Oscar in the category of Best Cinematography (black and white ).

Ted Tetzlaff was the son of the racer and actor Teddy Tetzlaff.
