Teddy Pilette

Theodore "Teddy" Pilette ( born July 26, 1942 in Brussels ) is a former Belgian racing driver. 1974 and 1977 he was reported for a total of four Formula 1 Grand Prix but failed to qualify only once.

Career

Like his father André, who started to nine Formula 1 races in the 1950s and 60s, and his great-uncle Theodore, 500 in 1913 to fifth place occupied in Indianapolis to Teddy Pilette opted for a career in motorsport. 1973 won Pilette the European Formula 5000 in a Chevron B24, which he repeated in a Lola T400 in 1975. He also took part in the American Formula 5000, which enabled him to participate in the Indianapolis 500 in 1977. Pilette failed to qualify for the race.
