Telecanthus

The term telecanthus known medically an increased distance between the inner ( medial ) intraocular angles ( Kanthi ). From a telecanthus occurs when the distance between the medial canthi is pro rata distribution in the normal population above the 97 % percentile.

A telecanthus may be due to a hypertelorism, this is called a secondary telecanthus. A primary telecanthus occurs without hypertelorism, for example, in Waardenburg syndrome type 1
