Telethon

Telethon ( portmanteau word composed of Television and Marathon, simple: television fundraising gala ) refers to a television program for the collection of donations for charitable purposes generally, which can last several hours or even days. Telethon are common on television among others, the United States, France, Great Britain, Mexico, Italy, Peru, Chile, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Austria.
