Temagami River

Temagami River (French Rivière Temagami ) is a left tributary of the Sturgeon River in the Canadian province of Ontario.

The Temagami River exits Lake Temagami from the Outlet Bay in the south. Here it flows through the adjacent Cross Lake and the Surveyor Lake. The outflow of the Surveyor Lake is regulated by the Cross Lake Dam. The Temagami River continues to flow in a southerly direction and reaches the Red Cedar Lake, a reservoir in which also the Marten River flows. The Temagami River flows below the dams of the Red Cedar Lake the Thistle Lake. He continues his run continued in a westerly direction and flows finally about 50 km in the Sturgeon River.

The Temagami River has several white-water sections of classes I and II as well as some that require a portage.
