Tempi (municipality)

The municipality Tempi (Greek Tempi Τέμπη (n. pl. ) And Dimos Tembon Δήμος Τεμπών ) located in the northern Thessaly on the southern slopes of Mount Olympus, the highest Greek mountain. It's made of five predecessor municipalities created new in 2010 and has its headquarters in the small town Makrychori. It was named after the Tempe valley, which is located in the community and the massif of Mount Olympus differs from that of the southern Ossa.

The population figures are derived from the results of the 2001 census; the municipal districts correspond to the municipalities, which existed from 1997 to 2010.
