Teng Yi

Teng Yi ( b. 1964 ) is a Chinese table tennis player who won four titles in the 1980s at the Asia Championship, team world champion and won the World Cup.

Career

From 1985 to 1989 Teng Yi participated in four World Cups. He brought with the Chinese team gold in 1987 and 1989 silver. In 1989, he was also with Hui jun semi-finals of the doubles competition. 1984 and 1986 he was represented at Asian Championships. Both times he brought to the team and doubles ( 1984 Saike Xie, 1986 Hui June) the title. In 1986, he also reached the final in the individual, which he lost to Jiang Jialiang. In the Asian Games 1986, he was in double with Hui Jun and the Mixed with Dai Lili first. In 1987 he won the World Cup in Macao (China).

In the ITTF World Ranking Teng Yi finished third place in late 1986.

In 1989, Teng Yi for Swedish club Söderhamns SF. In 2000 he was obliged by the TTC Jülich as a coach.
