Tepe Hissar

Tepe Hissar, also Tappe Hesar; is the name of two mounds ( Tepe ) near the city of Damghan in Semnan Province in Iran about 80 km south of the Caspian Sea.

In American excavations 1931/1932 ceramics from the 4th and 3rd millennium BC, as well as vessels and ornaments of gold and silver from the 3rd and 2nd millennium BC have been found. In addition, remnants of a Sassanid palace were excavated with Stuckornamentik.
