Tephrocactus articulatus is a flowering plant in the genus Tephrocactus from the cactus family ( Cactaceae ).

Description

Tephrocactus articulatus grows erect, is loosely branched and reaches stature heights of 30 to 60 centimeters (rarely to 120 cm). The first description was in 1837 as Cereus articulatus by Ludwig Georg Karl Pfeiffer. Curt Backeberg she put 1953 in the genus Tephrocactus. Tephrocactus articulatus is highly variable. There are numerous synonyms, including Opuntia diademata Lem. (1838 ).
