Terje Pedersen

Terje Pedersen ( born February 9, 1943 in Oslo) is a Norwegian athlete who came in the early 1960s as a javelin thrower in appearance. He threw two world records, surpassing 1964 as the first 90 -meter mark.

Terje Pedersen participated in two Olympic Games, but was dogged by bad luck. In Rome in 1960, the 17 -year-old qualified with a throw of 74.77 meters while for the preliminaries, but then had to give up injured. Four years later, in 1964 in Tokyo, survived the world record holder with 72.10 m indisputable for him not even qualify. After this disappointment, he ended his sports career.

In 1964 he won the election to Norway's Athlete of the Year as well as the Morgenbladet gold medal.

Terje Pedersen is a dentist by profession. He is 1.92 m tall and had a competition weight of 93 kg.
