Terra Securities

Terra Securities ASA was a Norwegian broker, the various financial instrument, index options, hedge funds and other investment securities sold in 78 local savings banks, which were all members of the Terra Group. 2006, the company had a market share of 1.92% on Oslo Stock Exchange. Among the 49 brokerage houses in Norway it was on the court 21 Furthermore, it was a subsidiary of Terra Markets, which was 66.73 % owned by the Terra Group. The rest of the shares held senior management.

In 2007 the company was involved in the Terra Securities scandal, which was a result of misinformation regarding eight municipalities in Norway that were taught as a way to risk for investment. On 28 November 2007, the company had to file for bankruptcy after previously the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway the Terra Securities broker license ( engl. brokerage license) withdrew.
