Terre-Natale

Terre- Natale is a former commune in the Haute- Marne. In 2012 it was dissolved.

The municipality was formed in 1972 from the three pre-existing towns of Varennes -sur- Amance, Champigny -sous -Varennes and Chézeaux what Varennes was the largest place and thus also the seat of the new municipality. The new municipality was also capital of the canton Terre- Natale, who previously existed under the name of Canton Varennes -sur- Amance and its main town of Varennes was. With the exit of Champigny -sous -Varennes, the 1986 its municipality status recovered to Terre- Natale reduced to Varennes and Chézeaux. On January 1, 2012, these were independent again and the municipality of Terre- Natale resolved it.
