Teru Miyamoto

Teru Miyamoto (Japanese宫本 辉, Teru Miyamoto, born March 6, 1947 in Kobe ) is a Japanese writer.

Miyamoto graduated from the private university Otemon Gakuin Daigaku and then worked as a copywriter for the advertising agency Sankei. After a nervous breakdown mid-twenties, he turned to writing. For Doro no kawa, he received the 1977 Osamu Dazai - Prize, for Hotarugawa in the following year the Akutagawa Prize. His novel, Yu- Shun (1987 ) was awarded the Yoshikawa Eiji Prize -. All three works as several later novels were filmed.
