Tesárske Mlyňany

Tesárske Mlyňany ( 1924-1928 Slovak " Mlynianske Tesáry " ) is a municipality in western Slovakia. It lies in the hills along the river Danube Žitava, 5 km from Zlaté Moravce and 25 km from Nitra away.

The main town was first mentioned in 1075 as Tazzar. The twin locality began life in 1924 as Mlynianske Tesáry by combining the independent places Tesáre nad Žitavou and Mlyňany. 1928 both place were again independent, but in 1960 it came to the re- unification under the present name. Tesárske Mlyňany is known for the Arboretum.
