Test strip

As a test strip or test strips is referred to an elongate object, with which the presence, amount or concentration of a substance according to one or more criteria can be determined. The evaluation can be done manually or by means of electronic devices.

As an aid in manual evaluation patterns are used for color comparison often, which are applied either on separate cards or directly on the packaging of each product. The measuring means go after the single application typically lost.

Common applications include - for example when determining the blood sugar level or a pregnancy test - in medicine and pharmacy, but for example also in building measurement technology and in food production. The measurement objectives are very diverse, the application sometimes very different.
