Tetramethrin is a chemical compound from the group of pyrethroids.
Production and representation
Tetramethrin may be from 1- cyclohexene -1 ,2- dicarboximide and implementation presented with formaldehyde to hemiaminal and subsequent esterification with Chrysanthemoylchlorid.
Use
Tetramethrin is mainly used against hygiene pests such as flies, mosquitoes and cockroaches indoors.
Admission
Tetramethrin was the second commercially available pyrethroid (1964). It was admitted from 1977 to 1981 in Germany as an insecticide.
The use of the active tetramethrin in plant protection products is not permitted in the European Union. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland are no plant protection products containing this active ingredient are allowed.
