Tex Avery

Tex Avery Frederick Bean Avery actually, ( born February 26, 1908 in Taylor, Williamson County, Texas; † August 26, 1980 in Burbank, California ) was an American film director and illustrator of cartoons.

Life

After studying at the Chicago Art Institute Avery went to California and tried first as a cartoonist for newspapers and magazines. There, his skills were not recognized and he moved immediately to the cartoon. For Warner Brothers, he was a director for the Merrie Melodies series of Looney Tunes and before moving in 1941 to Metro-Goldwyn- Mayer ( MGM).

Fred, Tex ' Avery has second exploited the possibilities of the characters like no tricks ludicrous exaggerations to the limit. In his films, the characters run through both the leader ( Swing Shift Cinderella ) and by the end credits ( Happy-Go- Nutty ). Hold during dramatic scenes suddenly and speak directly to the audience ( " Exciting, do not you? " ) Or unlock the screen and look to the next scene.
