Texas in July

Texas in July is a metalcore band from Ephrata, Pennsylvania, United States which was founded in Lancaster in 2007. At the time of inception, the musicians were 18-21 years old. Meanwhile, the group stood at CI Records, where they released Am ( 2009) their EP Salt of the Earth (2008) and the debut album I. After the growing success of the group Equal Vision Records offered the band a record deal to sell more albums in North America. In Europe, the albums are now distributed by the German label Nuclear Blast. The second album One Reality was released in April 2011.

History

The group was founded in Lancaster in 2007. The musicians were all still students at the high school. Their first demo was recorded shortly after the band's inception and sold on local concerts. Already in 2008, the group received a record deal with local label CI Records (including August Burns Red, The Juliana Theory, The Pink Spiders stood there under contract ), where she found her EP Salt of the Earth produced in the same year and published. Again, a year later the debut album I Am followed, which was released on June 2, 2009. The second edition was published on 15 September of the same year. The group then toured for the first time with various sizes of the metal scene such as August Burns Red, The Devil Wears Prada, Every Time I Die and Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. On 15 July 2010, the publication of 2- track single Uncivilized was. Just a week before signing Texas in July at Equal Vision Records. On August 24, 2010 Logan Maurer played his last concert with the group. He left the group for personal reasons. Mason still has contacts with his former band members.

Between 3 September and 16 October 2009, the group toured on the This or The Apocalypse Tour and on the Metal Christmas Tour, which took place between 26 December 2010 and 11 February 2011. On 26 April 2011, the second album of the band (North America) and Nuclear Blast was titled One Reality on Equal Vision Records ( worldwide). It was created by Chris Harris ( named Zeus ) produced, which has worked with Suicide Silence and Chelsea Grin. One Reality landed on the 174th place in the U.S. charts.

As part of the launched 23 June 2012 European tour, the group performed at the Graspop Metal Meeting and the With Full Force. On this tour, which ran until 21 May 2012, the band in Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Spain, Hungary and Austria was to be seen. It should be the last tour for the album "One Reality ". The sequel will be published later this year.

The group spent the last few months with excessive speed. So played as support for bands like Impending Doom, Falling in Reverse, Woe, Is Me and Of Mice & Men Moreover, Texas played in July 2013 for the first time the entire Warped Tour. The musicians of JT Carvey (vocals) and Kyle Aherm ( lead guitar ) were supported which temporarily Alex Good and Christian Royer replaced during the tour. It, however, no statement was released announcing a line-up change. In November and December 2013, the group will tour together with The Ghost Inside and volumes as support for The Devil Wears Prada. On July 23, 2013 Reflections appeared with a best-of album, which title of the albums I Am, which includes Salt of the Earth EP and the single Uncivilized.

Meanwhile, vocalist Alex Good this so that Texas stood in July extended period of time without a fixed lead singer. On concert tours, the group of J. T. was Cavey support which has been integrated as a new lead singer in the band in February 2014. The group was known to work on the third studio album which will be released on Equal Vision Records.
