TGW Logistics Group

TGW Logistics Group is a manufacturer of material handling and warehouse logistics solutions for warehousing, production, picking and distribution. It develops and produces logistics facilities for general cargo, small conveyors to complex distribution centers in the high power range. The name is derived from TGW transport equipment catfish.

The most important market of the company is Germany ( 36.5 percent), followed by the UK ( 22.1 percent ), Spain and the United States ( just under eight per cent). Sales in Austria constitutes 4.7 percent.

History

The company was founded in 1969 with 10 employees by Ludwig Szinicz and Heinz König in Wels, Upper Austria. There is still the headquarters.

1987 a subsidiary ( TGW Transportation Equipment Ltd.) was founded in Siegen ( Germany ). In 2001, the founding of TGW, Inc. in the United States took place. The U.S. company ERMANCO was acquired in 2005. 2010 one branch was opened in France and Sweden. In 2011 the company opened an office in China and increased with 50 % in a CSI in São Paulo. In early 2012 the company established TGW Systems Integration AG in Rotkreuz train in the Swiss canton.

In fiscal year 2012/13 revenues were generated from 388.9 million euros. The number of employees was 1680 persons. 2012/13 ( June 30, 2013) was an EBIT of 16.2 million euros a successful year ..
