Thaddeus Golas

Thaddeus Golas ( born June 15, 1924 in Paterson, New Jersey, † 16 April 1997 in Sarasota, Florida; Complete name Thaddeus Golas Stanley ) was an American author. Special recognition he reached the bestseller " The Lazy Man's Guide to Enlightenment " (engl. " The enlightenment it does not matter how you erlangst ").

Life

Thaddeus Golas was born on 15 June 1924 as the youngest of five children. Both parents were of Polish origin. At the age of 4 years old his father died six years later, his mother married again, but also his stepfather died soon of tuberculosis.

After his military service from 1942 to 1944 Golas graduated from Columbia University (New York) among others, Jacques Barzun literature and cultural studies. He then worked as a proofreader and editor for several publishers in the United States. In 1972 he published the bestseller " The Lazy Man's Guide to Enlightenment " (engl. " The enlightenment it does not matter how you erlangst " ), a book on spirituality and consciousness, which was well received in the New Age movement. It used Golas preferred metaphors from physics and cybernetics, thus creating a connection between cosmic processes and their interaction with human consciousness.
