Thais Russomano

Thais Russomano ( born September 25, 1963 in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul ) is a Brazilian aviation and aerospace medical examiner.

She studied medicine from 1985 at the University of Pelotas and then graduated from the Wright State University master's degree in aviation medicine and finally in 1998 at King's College London to do a doctorate in aerospace medicine

She teaches at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul and the Centre of Human & Aerospace Physiological Sciences, King's College London and is a visiting scientist at the German Centre for Aerospace.

In 1999, she founded the first Latin American microgravity Centre at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul.

In addition to her professional work Russomano is a consultant for Mars One.
