The Advertiser (Adelaide)

The Advertiser is an Australian newspaper that is published in Adelaide, South Australia News Corporation. The first edition of "The Advertiser " was released on July 12, 1858. The newspaper is published Monday to Saturday, while the Sunday edition as Sunday Mail appears. According to the company, the newspaper is read during the week of 580,000 people and on Saturdays from 740,000 people.

History

The Advertiser was founded in 1858 by John Henry Barrow, who was previously an editor at the South Australian Register.

Between 1893 and 1929 Sir John Langdon Bonython was the sole owner of " The Advertiser ". This supported the movement for the foundation of the Australian Federation. According to him, the suburb of Canberra, Bonython was named.

In November 1997, joined The Advertiser of a versatile, all-encompassing newspaper to a smaller format.
