The American Analog Set

The American Analog Set is an American indie post-rock band from Austin, Texas. A short form of the band name is amanset.

Band History

The American Analog Set was created in 1995 out of the band Electric Company. The founding members were next band leader Andrew Kenny musicians Mark Smith and Lisa Rosch man. Soon after, Lee Gillespie came to the group. After a few gigs the independent label Emperor Jones had become aware of the band and took them under contract. In the same year already released their first single Diana Slowburner. In the winter of 1995/96, the group played a their debut album The Fun of Watching Fireworks, which was released in summer 1996. This was followed in 1997 Album From Our Living Room to Yours and EP Late One Sunday & The Following Morning. In the winter of 1998 /99, the band began work on The Golden belt, her third studio album, which was completed in February 1999 and released in July. The end of 1999 Lisa Rosch man left the group. 2000 came with Sean Ripple, which should replace Lisa Rosch man, and Tom Hoff two new members to the band. For the fourth album Know By Heart, which was released in 2001, the band moved to Tiger Style Records, this resulting in the sound did not change significantly. The band 2002, a musical re-orientation before and opened to Electronica, as on the EP updates and is the album Promise of Love be heard clearly. 2003 Tom Hoff left the group and was replaced by Craig McCaffrey. 2005 joined The American Analog Set label again and taught Arts & Crafts Set Free out as most recent album.
