The Andy Griffith Show is an American television series that ( last Paramount Television) was produced for CBS by Desilu Productions. Between 1960 and 1968 caused 238 episodes over eight seasons. The show was broadcast throughout their time among the 10 programs with the best ratings.

Characters were Sheriff Taylor (Andy Griffith ), his son " Opie " (Ron Howard), " Aunt Bee " ( Frances Bavier ), Deputy "Barney Fife " ( Don Knotts ), " Gomer Pyle " (Jim Nabors ), Goober Pyle ( George Lindsey ) and the fictional southern town of Mayberry, North Carolina.

The series is still being aired daily in the U.S. cable television.
