Action

The American Hélène learn in 1938 in Paris know the Communists Jean. Hélène writes love letters to Jean that this does not answer. He says Hélène during a meeting, he did not want to encourage. Later Hélène is still pregnant with Jean, but she drives from the fruit of the womb.

After the beginning of World War II Jean is a soldier and go into captivity. The entrepreneur Bergman comes to Paris.
