The Bones of What You Believe is the debut studio album by the Scottish Synthpopband Chvrches. It was published by the label Virgin Records and Goodbye Records on 20 September 2013. As the singles title The Mother We Share, ' Recover and gun were published in advance, the Single Read followed in December 2013.
The album is available both as a standard album with twelve tracks, as well as a Special Edition album with eighteen titles. In addition to two bonus tracks The latter contains two remixes and two live music videos.
The song from the album We Sink is part of the soundtrack for the computer game FIFA 14
Reception
The album reached # 9 in the UK, # 12 in the U.S., number 18 in the Austrian, ranked number 22 in the German and number 55 in the Swiss charts.
Anne walnut of laut.de praised the album, it was " song structurally simple and kept pop in the best sense, every song [ was ] a little hymn ." Chvrches controlling an " exemplary synthesis of Mehrheitspop and effektverspielter electronica, of mass appeal and individuality ."
