The Bouncing Souls

The Bouncing Souls are one, founded in 1987, originally from New Jersey punk rock band. The group changed their style over the years.

Band History

The band's name is a play on words with the description of " Bouncing Soles " the shoes made ​​by Dr. Martens. The group had after its founding, long time no prospect of a record deal, so she founded her own label Chunksaah Records in 1993. In 1994, she released her debut album there, the following year, they received a contract with the independent label BYO Records, which reissued brought the first album. Even the sequel was released in 1996 there. For her third, in 1997 released album they changed to today's biggest punk label, Epitaph Records, where since appeared every other studio albums. In 1999 the so far the only line-up change, as a drummer Shal Khichi got out because of differences and was replaced by Michael McDermott. 2002 brought the band together with anti-flag a split CD out, which in turn appeared in BYO. 2013 Michael McDermott left the band to pursue other musical interests.
