The C Programming Language

The C Programming Language is the first book on the programming language C. The first edition appeared in 1978. The second edition was published in 1988 and updated in view of the new at the time ANSI C standard. It comes from the authors Brian W. Kernighan and Dennis M. Ritchie, of which Ritchie developed the programming language. The book was mainly attributable to the spread of the C programming language and is still regarded as a much -respected reference work for C.

The book also ensured the popularity of the Hello World program.

In Germany the book entitled The C Programming Language is published.
