Action

When the widowed Mr. Johnson someday again plays the tuba, he suddenly found a little yellow kitten in front of his house. He enthusiastically takes it to his house and try to satisfy it with the toy rattle that he loved even as a child. The cat slaps him the rattle out of hand and Johnson puts the cat insulted in front of the door. However, through the letter box they come back inside. Johnson is now trying on different ways to get rid of the cat - he brings them deep into the forest, trying to drown them in the sea and in a hot air balloon to shoot into the sky, but he always ends itself as a victim. He comes home, the cat is already there and laid waste his four walls more and more. In the end, Johnson blows up his house in the air, being self propelled by the explosion into the air and dies. As an angel, he returns to the cat and mocked them as they no longer could follow him. However, his body lands right on the cat, which now receives a stone angel for each of its nine lives. All nine now hasten to the fleeing Johnson 's mind.
