The Comet (Great Escape)

The Comet at The Great Escape & Splash Water Kingdom ( Queensbury, New York ) is a hybrid wooden roller coaster with steel structure manufacturer's Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters with the serial number 112, which was originally opened on 22 May 1948 in Crystal Beach (Ontario). There they drove up to 4 September 1989 and it used a part of Crystal Beach Cyclones rails. On 26 June 1994, she was finally reopened in Great Escape.

The 1279 meter long track describes a classic out-and -back layout with a maximum height of 29 m, and a descent of 27 m on the trains reach a top speed of about 89 km / hr.

The Comet has two trains with four cars. In each carriage six people ( three rows of two people) take place. Passengers must be at least 1.22 m tall to ride allowed. As restraint system individually snap- lap bar are used.
